Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Arvee Christine Greene Harmon, age 76, of Lenoir, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born May 9, 1933 in Watauga County, Mrs. Harmon was a daughter of the late Walter W. and Minnie G. Greene and the wife of Mr. George Harmon of the home.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Roger Harmon, one grandson, Christopher Harmon, 2 brothers, Ralph and Jack Greene, 4 sisters, Edith Greene, Shirley Jean Moore, JoAnn Bryan and Hannah Edgison.
Mrs. Harmon was attended East Hudson Baptist Church and had worked with Bernhardt Furniture, Plant 3.
Surviving other than her husband is her son, Jimmie Harmon and wife Kim of Lenoir; one daughter, Christine Webster and husband Joel of Lenoir, Brother, Howard Greene and wife Betty of Lenoir; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and good friend, Mrs. Cannon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mrs. Harmon’s life will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2010 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 until 6:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service & Crematory.
