Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Barbara Jean Holloway Huffman, age 47, of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.
Born February 3, 1963 in Caldwell County, Barbara was a daughter of the late Charlie H. Cardwell and Betty Cardwell Holloway. She worked for over 20 years as a CNA supervisor. She enjoyed giving care to others. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, a career that meant everything to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Raymond Holloway and an infant sister, Judy Ann Holloway.
Mrs. Huffman is survived by her husband of 29 years, Ricky Huffman of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa Kim Patterson, husband John of Taylorsville, and Tracy Ann Ward, husband Zack, of Charlotte; three sisters, Linda and John Hauck of Hudson, Wanda and Steve Billings of Lenoir, and Loretta Holloway of Lenoir; three brothers, Hubert Holloway of Rhodhiss, John Holloway of Lenoir, and Tony Holloway of Lenoir; five nieces, Kimberly Holloway of the home, Crystal Holloway of Lenoir, Candy Gragg of Lenoir, Wendy Baker of Hudson, and Abigail Setzer of Hickory; four nephews, Jason Holloway of Lenoir, James Holloway of Lenoir, Jeremy Earp of Seattle, WA, and Joseph Earp of NC; six granddaughters, Angel and Julia Patrick of Taylorsville, Madison Patterson of Taylorsville, and Savannah, Mackenzie, and Celine Ward of Charlotte.
The family wishes to extend a tremendous thank you to Sue and Arlen Kanagy for all the care, prayers and love you have given us all. Also, Julie Pearson for all the care, love, and friendship you have shown her. Also, to the wonderful staff at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care for your care and dedication.
The family will be having a private memorial service.
