Granite Falls, NC- Mr. George Ray Triplett, age 77, of Granite Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 21, 2010.
Born January 1, 1933 in Wilkes County, George was a son of the late Charlie Albert and Hattie Beatrice Triplett. He was self employed for many years as the owner and operator of Ray’s TV Sales and Service. He was a talented carpenter and was Baptist by faith. He loved his yard and spending time working in it. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, George Dean.
George was survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Tony and Amanda Triplett of Lenoir, and Jimmy Ray Triplett of Omaha, Nebraska; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jeanie Triplett of Hickory, and Diane and Jerry Whisnant of Granite Falls; two sisters, Avis Herman and Sue McLean; he was also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
A memorial service for Mr. Triplett will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Joel Cook officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, prior to the service from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
