I will always remember Robert as the guy who looked after the elderly aunt, uncle and neighbor on Underdown Ave so well. I also remember his little dog that he taught to never leave the yard, even when the aunt's dog across the street was yapping at him. Robert always came across the street to visit with us when we were in Lenoir visiting our aunt. I know the family is going to miss him terribly and I will as well when I visit in Lenoir. He was a wonderful, caring human being. Rest in Peace, Robert. Love, Janie

Robert had difficulties in life, but I admired the courage he had in facing them. He did the best he could, and he certainly loved his mother. I salute you.

Rob was always extremely nice to me. I loved his easygoing nature, and his sense of humor. I will never forget his frequent re-telling of the story of how he happened to see my Mom giving the bratty toddler version of me a [deserved, no doubt] spanking on a street in Lenoir one day. Rob always added his own elements that really got Joyce in a hilarious defensive mode, and kept adding more to the story. We always enjoyed seeing him. He was a good and genuine man, and I will miss him.

Jamey,
Words can not explain the feelings i feel for you. As you know, i know the pain your going through. I am SO proud of you for being the man you are and stepping up and taking care of things which is something i wasnt strong enough to do. Your dad was/is and always be a favorite uncle to me. He was one of the smartest men i know. I loved/love him so much and as you know the same goes for Dodie. Stay strong my best friend, my prayers are with you are your family every hour of the day. Your dad will be missed, but there are no goodbyes, only see ya laters.
