Earl Charles Sanders
4/16/1931 - 7/8/2010



Lenoir, NC –Mr. Earl Charles Sanders, age 79, of Lenoir, died Thursday, July 8, 2010 in Caldwell Memorial Hospital.  Born April 16, 1931 in Caldwell County, Mr. Sanders was a son of the late Ralph Bryson and Paralee Setzer Sanders and the husband of Mrs. Joette Triplett Sanders of the home.


He was loved by everyone because everyone knew him by his hard working, kind hearted, and loving personality.


Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ann Sanders.


Mr. Sanders was a retired Sgt. 1st Class with the North Carolina National Guard and a member of Confidence Advent Christian Church.  He had served as a volunteer fireman with the Gamewell Fire Department and was a member of the Gamewell Ruritan Club.


He had worked in sales with Beall Oil Company, delivered for Medical Arts Pharmacy and Flowers Auto Parts.


Other than his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Debra “Debbie” Earlene Collins and husband Kenneth of Lenoir; Lori Sanders of Lenoir; Sherri Sanders Riddle and husband Mike of Morganton; one sister, Shirley Andrews and husband Leonard of Lenoir; two brothers, Kenneth Sanders and wife Violet and Gary Sanders and wife Jeweldean; all of Lenoir; 4 grandchildren, Suzanne Dula, Cassie Jo Collins and Lacey Kate Riddle, all of Lenoir; Anna Lea Riddle of Morganton and 2 great-grandchildren, Kody Bryson Crane and Makayla Jo White, both of Lenoir.


A celebration of Mr. Sanders’ life will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Confidence Advent Christian Church with Reverend Norm Sherwood officiating.  Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Military Honors.


The family will receive friends Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 2:30 until 4:00, prior to the service at Confidence Advent Christian Church.


Pallbearers will be:  Derek Hendrix, Cody Reeves, Brandon Beane, David Clontz, Mike Burns and Rick Curtis.  Honorary Pallbearers will be men of Confidence Advent Christian Church.


Memorials may be made to Confidence Advent Christian Church, 4040 Confidence Church Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Earl at Beall Oil Co. many years ago. He was absolutely one of the kindest people I've ever known and so full of life! He made my job there a pleasant experience. He will be missed by all who ever met him. My condolences to all the family - I know he was loved.
