Lenoir, NC – Ms. Barbara Lynn Foster, age 81, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Caldwell Hospice. Ms. Foster was born in Caldwell County on September 13, 1928 to the late James M. Foster and Willie Mae Gaither Foster. She retired from Belk Stores after 36 years of service. Ms. Foster was a very loving and caring person who made her family a priority. She enjoyed playing the violin and piano. She was life-long member of Smith Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Gloria Foster, and her brother, James E. Foster.
Ms. Foster is survived by her daughter, Lynda K. Foster; her special niece, Shay Foster Morrow, and husband, Paul; sister-in-law, Eleanor J. Foster; niece, Meredith Foster; nephew, Edgar Gerard Foster, and wife Sylvia; great-nephews, Brian Foster, Paul Morrow, Jr., Daniel Beckert; great-niece, Michelle Gill; and two great-great- nieces, Kimora Gill and Aaliyah Gill.
A memorial service for Ms. Foster will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010, 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, from 1:00 until 2:00 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
