A. B. Small

Lenoir, NC- Mr. A.B. Small, age 78, of Lenoir, died Friday, January 7, 2011 at Grace Hospital in Morganton. Born April 26, 1932 in Caldwell County, Mr. Small was a son of the late Fred and Nellie Hendrix Small and the husband of Mrs. Virginia Barrier Small of the home. Mr. Small was a U.S. Air Force veteran and owned Small’s Crafts. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Barry Small; 3 brothers, Fred, Carroll and John Small and 2 sisters, Hazel Annas and Ruby Hollar. Surviving other than his wife are three children, Allen Brent Small and wife Donna; Andrew Howard Small and wife Nyoka; Virginia Dare Collins, all of Lenoir; one sister, Beulah Lee Coffey and husband Wayne of Lenoir; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A celebration of A.B.’s life will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday, January 9, 2011 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Jim Lee officiating. A private burial will take place later in the Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
