Addie Teeters Lackey

Addie Lackey Lenoir – Mrs. Addie Teeters Lackey, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on September 30, 1940 to the late Ralph “Pete” Teeters and Ella Marie Haas Teeters. Mrs. Lackey was married for more than 57 years to Clyde Lackey of the residence. Mrs. Lackey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who brought joy to not only her family but to everyone she came in contact with. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Lee Lackey; grandson, James Lee Lackey; brother, Ralph Eugene Teeters; and sister, Ruby Stevens. Other than her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Doris Freeman and husband, Johnie; sons, Clyde Wayne Lackey and wife, Denise; Rick Lackey and wife, Brenda; Terry Lackey and wife, Christine; brother, Edward Teeters; grandchildren, Robbie Freeman, Melony Freeman, Carrie Lackey Jenkins, Chelsea Lackey Parmelee, Sharise Lackey, Serena Lackey, Alexiss Lackey, Larissa Lackey; great-grandchildren, Nathana el Freeman, Millie Freeman, Rachael Freeman, Gabriel Freeman, Aden Pennington, Alec Jenkins, and Justice Lackey. A celebration of Mrs. Lackey’s life will be held at New Life Baptist Church on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 5:00 with Pastor Phillip Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 5:00 prior to the service.
