Amy Fowler, age 92, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on Friday, September 19, 2025. Born on November 21, 1932, in North Carolina, Amy was the beloved daughter of the late Vernon and Dora Hollars. A resident of Granite Falls, NC, Amy will be remembered for her lifelong faith, kindness, and love for family and friends.
Amy is preceded in death by her husband, Cloyd Guthrie Fowler, and her siblings Lois, Ermel, Elmer, and Kenneth. Her legacy continues through her cherished family, including her son, John Fowler and his wife Tina; her grandchildren, Felicia Smith, Ashly Mills and husband Chris, along with 10 great-grandchildren. Amy is also survived by her siblings Christine, Fannie, Henry, Shirley, Billy, and many other loved family members.
Amy was a devoted member of Ebenezer Methodist Church, where she served as a prayer warrior and a faithful servant to the Lord. Known for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Amy dedicated her life to caring for those around her. She was also an excellent cook and a talented seamstress. Her love for fishing and camping is fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A service to honor and celebrate Amy’s life will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Ebenezer Methodist Church with Pastor Simon officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for fellowship and remembrance an hour prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Ebenezer Methodist Church, 4948 Burns Road, Granite Falls, NC 28630, in memory of Amy.
Amy’s warmth, grace, and steadfast spirit touched all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by many.
