Arthur "Gene" Moore

November 6, 1931 — November 26, 2022

Arthur Eugene Moore, a proud veteran of the United States Army, left us to rejoin his Father in Heaven, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November the 26th, 2022. The son of Arthur Leonard Moore and Annie Irene Carlton Moore, Gene grew up in Lenoir. He was born November the 6th, 1931 and attended Lenoir High School and Lenoir Rhyne College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. At the age of 22, Gene enlisted in the Army. As part of this service, he was a highly skilled communication specialist who served the Army in the end of WWII. Gene is survived by his brothers Charles Curtis Moore and wife Etta Joanne Moore and Kenneth Carlton Moore. Niece Martha Lynn Watts and husband William Keith Watts. Great nieces Jessica Johnson and Kaitlin Crawford and great nephew Jared Moore. Loved ones will remember Gene for his warm heartedness, thoughtfulness, and consideration. He also was an incredible artist. Most of all, Gene was a devout Christian. His love for the Lord was unwavering, up until his last moments on Earth. A graveside service honoring the life of Gene will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park, Lenoir, NC on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Full Military Honors will be provided by the National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.evansfuneralservice.com.
