Aubrey Calvin Correll

Statesville, NC– Mr. Aubrey Calvin Correll, age 77, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at his home.Born January 31, 1938 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late Norman Jesse Correll and Vanessa Tate Correll McMahon. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Dennis Todd Correll. Mr. Correll was a 1957 graduate of Lenoir High School and a 1962 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Physical Education and Biology.He was an avid hunter and fisherman.Mr. Correll loved teaching young people any way he could.He taught scuba diving, self defense, yognastics, survival courses, swimming, archery and skeet shooting. Mr. Correll is survived by his wife, Brenda Anderson Correll of the home; a son, Norman David Correll of the home; one sister, Norma Jean Correll Perry and husband Doug of Las Vegas, NV and one brother, Larry Howard Correll, Sr. of Lenoir. A memorial service for Mr. Correll will be conducted at a later date.
