Bernice Ward Mast

Bernice Mast Patterson, NC- Mrs. Bernice Ward Mast, age 73, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Watauga County on March 7, 1940 to the late John Marshall Ward and Icie Anabelle Tester. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude David Mast; sons, David Carroll Mast and Charles Phillip Mast; brothers, Bynum Ward and Robert Ward. Mrs. Mast is survived by her sons, Claude M. Mast and wife, Tammy; Christopher B. Mast; and Edward Mast and wife, Kay; brother, Howard Ward; sisters, Katie Watson and Paulette Greene; grandchildren, Britney Mast , Nicholas Mast and Thomas Mast. A celebration of Mrs. Mast̢۪s life will be held at Yadkin Baptist Church on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Robert Livingston officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be JR Dickinson, Claude Mast, Christopher Mast, Edward Mast, Jeff Hamby and Greg Elrod. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
