Lenoir – Mrs. Betty Curley Church, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Caldwell UNC Heathcare. She was born in Wilkes County on January 21, 1938 to the late Edwin J. Curley and Nellie Dancy Curley and was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Church.Mrs. Church was a loving, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a long-time, faithful member of Sunrise Baptist Church. She is survived by her sister, Edith Hicks; children, Deborah Dotson; Kenneth Dotson and wife, Kathy; Stevie Dotson and wife, Denise; Darian Dotson and wife, Kristy; grandchildren, Jason Drum; Angie McDevitt; Kenny Bo Dotson; Kimberly Brown;Taylor Dotson; Aaron Dotson; Tiffany Dotson; great-grandchildren; Parker Edwards; Savanna Dotson; Carson Drum; Chloe Dotson; London Lowman;Cooper Dotson; Jaylen Drum; Braxton Brown and Eli Brown. A celebration of Mrs. Church’s life will be held at Sunrise Baptist Church on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3:00 with Pastor David Woods and Pastor Ed Warren officiating. Entombment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
