Betty Sue Craig

Lenoir – Mrs. Betty Sue Craig, 85, of Lenoir passed away at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Betty was born on July 18, 1932 in Caldwell County to the late Ivey and Nancy Bryant. Betty was married 68 years to Mr. Billy E. Craig. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by one brother Lonnie D. Bryant and one grandson Ronnie Bowman. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her four children: Esten “Duggie” Craig and wife Viola; Theresa Sipes; Terry Craig; and Debra Watson and husband Jeff all of Lenoir. Betty is survived, also, by one sister; Nova Jo Watts and one brother Ervin Bryant. She is survived by numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of Betty’s life on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Clarks Chapel Baptist Church at 3:00, conducted by Rev. Dale Payne. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Internment will follow the service at the cemetery of Clarks Chapel immediately after the service. The family would like to express their thankfulness to the staff of Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care for their service to Betty.
