Betty Vannoy Kincaid

Lenoir- Mrs. Betty Jean Vannoy Kincaid, age 82, of Lenoir, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 17, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.Born August 25, 1932 in Ashe County, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Marie Tucker Vannoy and the wife of Harold D. Kincaid of the home to whom they had shared 65 years of marriage. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Kincaid; brothers, R.F. Vanoy, Jr. and Reverend Lyle “Pete” Vannoy and sister, Virginia Dare Story. Mrs. Kincaid was a homemaker and enjoyed helping others and serving the Lord.She had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years and Flemings Chapel Baptist Church for many years where she had taught Sunday School at both.She currently was attending Tabernacle Advent Christian Church Surviving other than her husband Harold is her son, David Kincaid and wife Kim of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Jessica Kincaid of Charlotte, Caleb Kincaid and wife Lacey of Lenoir, Dustin Kincaid of Lenoir, Kyle Kincaid of Granite Falls and great-grandchild, Eden Kincaid of Lenoir. A celebration of Mrs. Kincaid’s life will be conducted 5:00 PM Sunday, July 19, 2015 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Frank Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 on Sunday, prior to the service.
