Betty Sue Watson

Betty Greene Watson, age 94, passed away peacefully at Hickory Falls Rehab on July 16th, 2025.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, the late Wiley Monroe Greene and Sue Austin Greene; as well her husband, Harvey Stanford Watson; son, Rudy Stanford Watson; daughter-in-law Frances Setzer Watson; grand daughter-in-law Kimberly Watson; five sisters and three brothers.

Betty is survived by her son Bobby (Pam) Watson; grandchildren, Aaron (Krystle) Watson, Jennifer (Chris) Dellinger, Shelley (Mike) Seymour, and Ben Watson; three great grandchildren. Betty also left behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was a lifelong member at Worship Point Baptist Church of Lenoir where she directed weddings as well as Bible school; where she was also a member of the quilting group. For forty-eight years she worked as a seamstress for Bernhardt Furniture.

The Watson Family will hold a receiving of friends on Sunday July 20th, 2025, at Worship Point Baptist Church (2310 Collettsville Rd. Lenoir, NC 28645) from 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM. The service will begin at 3:00 PM with Reverend Lane Hamby officiating.

In lieu of flowers all donations can be made to Worship Point quilting group.
