Beulah Jean Whisenant

Beulah Jean Whisenant, 77, of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday September 9, 2025 at UNC Caldwell following a very brief decline in health.

She was born on August 31, 1948 in Caldwell County to the late Charlie A. May and Ruth Smitherman May. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Steve Whisenant, sister Sarah Dellinger, and brother Louie May.

Beulah worked several years in textiles but spent the majority of her life being a devoted wife and enjoyed the simple things in life. She was an amazing baker and found true joy in baking for others at any opportunity.

Surviving family include her nephew Patrick Woods and wife Jessica of Hickory; nephew Rusty Dellinger and wife Paula of Lenoir; niece Shannon Stanbery and husband Allen of Boone; sister-in-law Reta May of Shelby and many great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church in Lenoir with Rev. Derick Lingerfelt.
