Bill Benge

Lenoir- William Brown Benge, age 98, went home to be with the Lord and friends on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Clay County, KY on August 19, 1922. He worked for the John Deere Company for 50 years and during that time he served two churches as an Associate Pastor. Bill loved the Lord and wanted everyone he knew to know the Lord. He is survived by his daughters, Dee Benge; Jenny Kent and husband, Robert; Brenda Stone and husband, Andy; son, Jeff Benge and wife, Jenna; daughter, Leslie Kohlman and husband, John; brother, Fred Benge and wife, Donna; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous other family members. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at College Avenue Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Dr. Chuck Brawley officiating. Bill will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private.
