Billy Eugene Craig

Billy Eugene Craig, 96, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

He was born to Walter Ivey Craig and Emma Estella Clark Craig on March 25, 1929.

Billy was married to Betty Bryant Criag. He was a loving and caring husband and father to his children: Esten (Duggie) Craig, wife, Viola of Lenoir; Theresa Staines Sipes of Lenoir; Terry Edwin Craig of Lenoir; and Debra Craig Watson, husband Jeff.

He loved all his grandchildren too. He had 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Billy is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Betty Bryant Craig, grandson Ronnie Dale Bowman; and his parents: Walter Ivey Craig and Estella Clark Craig.

Billy served in the 66th Constabulary Regiment of the US Army during World War II.

The Craig family would like to thank all the nurses that cared for Billy Craig from Amorem Hospice. Also, Melanie’s Hometown Pharmacy in Hudson, and the Pastor and church members that came to visit and sent cards.

A service to celebrate the life of Billy Craig will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Clarks Chapel Baptist Church at 2:00pm, with a receiving of friends starting at 1:00pm. A graveside service will immediately follow with military honors.
