Boyd Helton

Hudson, NC- Mr. Boyd Wayne Helton, age 86, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Burke County on May 6, 1931 to the late Dewey Lee Helton and Vada Hamby Helton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Harris Helton; his daughter, Janice Helton Pope; great-granddaughter, Vickie Ann Helton; and his sister, Margie Helton Reid. Mr. Helton was a loving husband, father and grandfather and had many close friends. He was a member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God. He is survived by his sons, Rickie W. Helton and wife, Anita; Paul Helton and wife, Debbie; daughter, Ginger Helton Eagle and husband, Roy; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Helton will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 5:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 prior to the service.
