Bud Mcglamery

Bud McGlamery, 87, of Lenoir, died Friday, March 2, 2018 peacefully at his home after an extended illness.Bud was born March 26, 1930 in Wilkes County.Bud retired from Singer Furniture and was an avid member of Central Baptist Church.He was the son of the late Will and Grace McGlamery.He was one of thirteen children, many of whom are still living, but was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.In addition to his siblings, he is preceded in death by his great-grandchild, Maddux Grant Moore. Survivors include his wife, Shelby McGlamery; his two sons, Joseph McGlamery and wife Donna of Morganton and Opie McGlamery and wife Kim of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Laura and Mitchell McGlamery of Morganton, and Logan McGlamery of Lenoir, and Chelsey and Elliot Moore of Parris Island, SC. A celebration of Bud’s life will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church in Lenoir with Pastor John Jernigan officiating.Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
