Carla Daniel

Carla Denise Daniel, age 53, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on February 4, 2021 at her residence in Lenoir. Carla was born on January 18, 1968 to the late Jones Reid and Hilda Powell. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Lauren Daniel and Fiancé Logan McIlnay of Raleigh, Dainera Daniel of Arizona; sisters Joanie Banner and husband Virgil, and Laura Caudle and husband Bob; brother Steve Reid and wife Terri; grandchildren, Zachary McIlnay and expecting second MclInay grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews and several close friends. Carla loved collecting antiques especially blue glass.She never met a stranger and had such an open personality. She had a genuine soul and sometimes too honest but was loved and trusted by many. She had twinkling eyes with a contagious smile that would light up any room. Behind her smile were trials and tribulations which made it that much more special. Her struggles made her the strong and courageous woman that she was and her family is extremely proud of her perseverances. Her hardships that she endured and broke through made her daughters who they are today. She had a special bond with her sister Joanie that helped and supported her. She was also a wonderful grandmother and was extremely excited about her upcoming grandchild. A memorial service to honor Carla Denise Daniel will be held at a later date.
