It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wilma Carolyn Williams, affectionately known as "Granny Cow," who left this world on Sunday, October 25th, 2026. Carolyn passed away peacefully at Forsyth Medical Center at the age of 69.
Born on January 15th, 1957, in the heart of Caldwell County, NC, Wilma Carolyn Williams was a beacon of resilience and strength. She was the beloved daughter of the late James Thomas Williams and Christine Crump Triplett. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Lenoir, NC, a place she proudly called home.
In her lifetime, Carolyn wore many hats but none more significant than that of a devoted mother. Life presented her with challenges, but her tenacious spirit and love for her children saw her through. Through perseverance, she reconciled with her children, embodying the true spirit of maternal love and commitment. Carolyn found joy and solace in the beauty of nature, enjoying camping, fishing by the river, and expressing her vibrant spirit through singing.
Preceded in death by her children, Jim Bob Moody, Wayne Robert Mikeal Cantor, and Cynthia Darlene Cantor, Carolyn also mourned the loss of her sisters, Peggy Diane Harold, Sandra Oakes, Helen Rivera; granddaughter, Victoria Wilcox; and great-granddaughter, Maicey McDaniels.
Carolyn leaves behind a cherished legacy through her surviving family: her children, William R. Moody and wife Renee, Melissa Bowlin and husband Ricky, and Wilma Cline. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas Williams and wife Joan, Danny Williams; sisters, Theresa Chapman and husband Larry, Carolyn Polk and husband Dwight; numerous adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Carolyn's career as a laborer was marked by hard work and dedication, reflecting her steadfast character. Her family requests the privacy of a service held in the intimacy of loved ones to honor her life's journey.
Arrangements have been respectfully handled by Evans Funeral Service & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Carolyn’s memory to a charity of one's choice.
Her life was a testament to loving fiercely and living fully. Carolyn’s warmth, laughter, and enduring love will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
