Mr. Charles Edwin Pearson, age 57 of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare in Lenoir.He was born May 30, 1962 in Caldwell County to the late Reverend Dr. Venoy Pearson and Annie Ruth Witherspoon Pearson.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronda Lee Pearson; two sisters, Ondra Pearson Alford and Iris Pearson Mayshack and brother-in-law, George C. Fox Jr. Survivors include two daughters; Samantha Oreane Pearson of Boone, Isabella Ruth Pearson of Lenoir; mother; Clara Mae Pearson of Lenoir; sisters, Sandra “Pete-o” Coles and husband Walter of Boone, Valerie Fox of Lenoir, Valerie “ Vandy” Cash and husband Alvin of Lenoir, Clara Pearson Dula and husband Jacques of Fuquay-Varina; brothers, Eugene Yount and wife Elizabeth of Dallas, TX, Reverend Venoy Pearson Jr. and wife Lisa of Rosenberg TX, Costella Dixon of Lenoir and Reverend Jerome Pearson and wife Lynn of Morganton; grand-daughter, Charlii Felder; uncles, Eugene Horton of Lenoir and Edwin Pearson of Morganton; aunt, Phyllis Perkins of Morganton; brother-in-laws Reverend Reginald Alford of Hartsville, SC and Anthony Mayshack of Rosenberg, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. Charles was a lifetime member of First Church of God of Lenoir, was a jack of all trades and would do anything for anyone.Horses was his passion and every child that came in contact with him was taught how to ride.He was affectionately called the “Cowboy” of the Bushtown Community.Most importantly he was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and brother. Due to Covid-19, funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the McCreary Cancer Center, 212 Mulberry Street SW, Lenoir.
