Charles Arthur Williams

Mr. Charles Arthur Williams, age 67, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. Born December 24, 1951 in Tennessee, Charles was a son of the late Ralph Williams and Wilma Fenner Charsha.Charles was a bandsaw operator and worked in the furniture industry for 38 plus years. He enjoyed woodworking and building things.He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren showing them how to work with machinery and sharing old time rock and roll with them.He enjoyed classic cars and attending old car shows.He loved spending time with his dogs, Jessie and Lilly.Charles was a member of Grandview Park Baptist Church.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several sisters. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Pearlie Mae Williams; three daughters, Carla Harris (husband Nick), Tammy Barlow (husband Joey) and Annette Jones (husband Jeff); one sister and one brother; his grandchildren, David Roark, Daniel Roark, Dylan Conner, Kasey Edwards, Kayla Blevins, Hannah Moore, Dustin Jones, Megan Jones, Jenny Jones, Conner Jones and Rebecca Jones; his great grandchildren, Frederick, Matthew, Jaden, Jasmine, Kaeson, Izabella, Ryker and Natalie; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Charles’ life will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11:00AM at Grandview Park Baptist Church with Pastor Raymond Spann officiating.
