Chris Soots

Charles Christopher Soots, age 48, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 23, 2020 after an extended illness. He was born on September 10, 1971 to Harold and Lula Soots. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold A. Soots. Chris is survived by his mother, Lula C. Soots, his brothers, David Soots and wife, Kristy, and Mark Soots and wife, Melissa, and several nieces and nephews. Chris attended Living Hope Church. He enjoyed traveling around the state and country researching his family history. Chris served several times with the Minute Men Civil Defense Corps on the United States border. He also wrote Love Until the End, which was filmed at Whippoorwill Academy. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to either Living Hope Church, 1890 Connelly Springs Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645 or to Whippoorwill Academy & Village, PO Box 458, Ferguson, NC 28624 The family will have a private memorial service for Chris.
