Christine Pennell Clark

Christine Pennell Clark, age 62, of Collettsville, North Carolina passed away on February 2, 2021 at her residence in Collettsville. Christine was born December 16, 1958 to the late Bynum and Verna Mae Pennell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Bowman; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Clark; and father-in-law, Roy Roger Clark. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James “Jimmy” Clark; daughters, Christon Reid and Cherish Lail (Antwaine); brothers, Randy Pennell (Cindy), Howard Pennell (Wendy); brother in law, Shaun Clark; sisters, Brenda Angley (Doug), Delores Small and Donna Hinson; sister in law, Tonya Clark; granddaughters, Asha Lail and Emaleigh Pearson; grandsons, Dayton Helton, Masyn Mungro and Devlin Reid; and numerous nieces and nephews. Christine was a Christian educator and enjoyed working with children. Her passion was teaching children about Jesus Christ through back yard bible clubs, mission trips and Green Mountain Park Ministry. Christine was a member of Mulvale Baptist Church where she most recently established The Baptist Women’s Group. A graveside service to honor Christine Pennell Clark will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Brian Smith and Dr. Steve Parker officiating at The Cuthbertson Cemetery 2621 Craig Creek Road, Collettsville NC 28611. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care 902 Kirkwood St NW, Lenoir NC 28645 and McCreary Cancer Center 212 Mulberry St. SW Lenoir, NC 28645.
