Clarence "Bud" Edward Smith

Clarence “Bud” Smith, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Bud was born on January 14, 1943, to the late Clarence and Thelma Smith.

Those left to cherish Bud’s memory are his wife of 63 years, Deanna; children, Jeff Smith, Joanna Smith; grandchildren, Cody Smith, Mandy Kennedy (Dayton), Courtney Smith; and numerous loved nieces, nephews, and friends; and his dogs, Piper, Shelby, Buddy, and Shiloh.

Bud enjoyed hunting and fishing. He would help anyone in need and above all he loved his family and the Lord. He had a painting business for many years.

A memorial service to honor Bud’s life will be held on Friday October 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at North Catawba Baptist Church with Pastor David Brown officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at North Catawba Baptist Church.
