Clark Miller

Clark S. Miller, 87, of Lenoir left his earthly tabernacle and moved to his heavenly home on Monday, December 8, 2025. He was born the son of Luke and Marie Jones Miller of High Point, NC on May 26, 1938.

He was a member of Crest View Baptist Church for almost 30 years where he served in the Prison Ministry, a Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, Board of Directors, Chairman of House and Grounds Committee and Chairman of the Building Committee. He formally served at Worship Point Baptist Church for 31 years in the visitation ministry, as a teacher and youth worker. Clark loved the Lord and his family very much.

Clark was a retired home improvement and home appliance salesman for Sears of Lenoir, where he was employed for 27 years. After retirement he was self employed as a licensed General Contractor and Realtor.

He enjoyed time with his personal family and his large church family. Hobbies were hunting, working in his woodworking shop and traveling around the country with his wife. He spent much of his time doing volunteer work at the church and around the community.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one son, David Joseph Miller, five sisters: Loretta Lee, Judith Nell Boykin, Patricia Kiker, Dolly Craven and Debbie Edgerton as well as his previous wife of 32 years, Bessie Ann Craig Miller. Those left behind to cherish his memory, his dearly beloved wife of 27 years, Betty Babb Miller of the home; stepson, Charles Babb and wife Susan of Lenoir; stepdaughter, Teresa Johnson and husband Doug of Granite Falls; stepson, Paul Craig and wife Marie of Rapid City, South Dakota; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Harris of Lake City, Florida; daughter-in-law, Shirley Smith of San Diego, CA and brother-in-law Larry Campbell and wife Joyce. He was blessed with five grandsons, three granddaughters, four great granddaughters and five great grandsons. He is also survived by one brother, James Miller and wife Ann of Laurel Springs, NC and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Moe Bean, Buddy Davis, Neal Adams, Tyler Caldwell, Don Ford and Ricky Greene. Honorary pallbearers are Dannie Sides, Bill Lambert, Matt Simmons, Don Critcher and Mike Goulds.

Celebration of life services for Clark Miller will be conducted on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00am at Crest View Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Isaacs. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:00am. Interment will be private. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Crest View Baptist Church Building Fund or The Gideons International. Evans Funeral Service will be in charge of the arrangements.
