Clifton Salley Clifton Salley departed this life Wednesday March 25, 2015 at Hospice Palliative Care. Mr. Salley was born April 6, 1929 in Forsyth County. He was preceded in death by his parents; Rev. Ben Salley and Ethel Green Salley.Four brothers: Rev. Daniel Salley Sr., Joseph Salley, Wilbert Salley, and Thomas Salley.Two sisters: Jessie Salley McClinton, and Thelma Salley Peeples.He has one living brother Ernest (Jean) Salley. He leaves behind to cherish fond memories, his loving wife Louise Jones Salley who he was married to for 56 years.He left behind five children, his two daughters: Delphine “Sue” Salley, and Karen Patterson and husband James “Rusty” Patterson.As well as his three sons: Robert Jones, Ben Salley, and wife Murial Salley, and Michael Salley and wife Lisa Salley.He also leaves behind Seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, five sisters in law, three brothers in law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Clifton was an employee of Berhardt Seagle and Blue Ridge Community Action.He also served as a community taxi driver.He was a US Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. A celebration of Clifton’s life will be held at St. Paul A.M.E.
