Daniel Icard

September 23, 1949 — June 23, 2025

Daniel "Dan" Icard, born on September 23, 1949, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2025. It has been said “all people die, but you know not all people live.” Dan lived every day to his fullest potential. Whether he was scuba diving or just sitting on his porch and talking to others. It was a full day and lots of excitement. His personality is one that will always bring a smile when the thoughts of him come rolling through your mind. As a matter of fact, he is probably saying something like this, “you know it breaks my heart but apparently I have passed away.” Everybody says it will happen one day, but nobody wants to hear that, much less experience it. Well, today I am happy, pain free, and dancing on the streets of gold that God called home before me.

To my family still on earth please don’t cry for me. To my daughter, Christie LeDean Beach, just remember all the times we have shared, and I will see you again. To my son, James “Jim” Icard and his wife Cindy, continue to love your life and remember the good times we had. To my grandchildren, Allie Icard Adams and her husband Jason, keep growing in your marriage and love each other daily. Kristen Beach Robbins and her husband Coty, thank you for all you have done for me and remember all the memories we have shared. Alayna Beach and her boyfriend Marshall Tramble, continue with your dreams and plans that you have shared with me. Also, to always love one another. To Chloe Icard, thank you for the wonderful smile that you’ve always had. To my only grandson, Nick Icard, thank you for all the talks we shared and remember them when you get sad about me.

Then, there are my four great grandbabies, Harold Robbins, Henry Robbins, Layla Adams, and Hazel Robbins. Please don’t cry for me because I am gone but instead be happy that I was here to share time with you and that I love you all so very much.

Finally, all my friends rejoice because I made it home to be with my savior and all my loved ones. Remember all the joyful times I shared with you and smile often when you think of me.

A service celebrating the life of Dan Icard will be held on July 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Union Grove Baptist Church.

Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army and Veteran's Honor Guard.
