Dean Wheeling

Lenoir, NC- Mr. William “Dean” Wheeling, age 65, of Lenoir, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Born February 13, 1951 in Wilkes County, Dean was a son of the late Stanley Almond and Ressie Weaver Wheeling. He was a member of Grandview Park Baptist Church, enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid Foosball player. He also was an avid sports fan and liked watching the Redskins play. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Dean Wheeling; his brothers, Brice Wheeling and Wayne Wheeling. Survivors include his wife Susan “Susie” Fail Wheeling of the home; two sisters, Juanita Johnson and Lorraine Hopson (husband Garnet); two close friends he played Foosball with, David Blevins and Donald Bean; he is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Dean’s life will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 4:00 PM at the Grandview Park Baptist Church with Pastor Raymond Spann and Pastor Benny Green officiating.
