Debbie Auton

Debbie Marie Auton, lovingly known as “MawMaw” went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 4, 2025, at the age of 66.

Born on December 21, 1958, in Caldwell County North Carolina, to the late Floyd Enlo Gragg and Mary Watson Gragg, Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose legacy of love and faith touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Debbie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mansfield Bud Auton; her precious daughter, Shaisty Auton; and her son, Buddy Ray Auton, and her siblings, Ray Gragg, David Gragg, Patricia Gragg, and Linda Gragg.

Those left to cherish Debbie’s memory are her son, Shannon and wife Penny Gragg of Lenoir; son, Dwight Auton of Lenoir; son Brian and wife Becky of Lenoir; 9 grandchildren, Chelsea Auton, Matthew and wife Adreanna Auton, Karen Gragg, Dylan Auton, Mason Auton, Macie Auton, Casey Gragg, Landon Auton, Zayne Gragg, Kyle and wife Allie Poarch of Nevada, Michael Poarch; 2 great grandchild, Dalton Gragg and Ruby Rose Poarch; 2 sisters, Stephanie Greene of the home, Crystal Gragg; 2 brothers, Marty Gragg, Tony Gragg; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She dedicated her life to loving and taking care of others, her family was her greatest joy, and she left an incredible mark on each of their lives.

“Thank you, MawMaw, for always being there for each of us. You will be missed but not forgotten! We love You!”

A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Livingston Memorial Baptist Church, 4140 Wilkesboro Blvd, Boomer, NC 28606, with Pastor Brian Auton officiating.

The family respectfully requests, in lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Debbie, be made to Atrium Home and Health HME Cleveland, 105 T R Harris Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
