Delila Jenkins

Delila Jenkins, age 87, of Granite Falls, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at her residence.She was born January 16, 1934 in Caldwell County to the late Tommy and Beverly Chandler.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Gary Chandler. Survivors include two sons, Donnie Jenkins (wife Pam) and David Jenkins; four grandchildren, Todd Jenkins, T.J. Jenkins, Lori Jenkins, and Kristen Jenkins; and seven great-grandchildren. Delila loved the Lord, her family and church.She enjoyed word search puzzles and talking with friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Nicky Waters. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be:Todd Jenkins, T.J. Jenkins, Rick Ashley, Brian Ashley, Garrett Ashley, and Corey Carson.
