Dennis Allen Jawgiel

Lenoir- Mr. Dennis Allen Jawgiel, age 68, of Lenoir, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at Grace Hospital in Morganton.Born February 24, 1947 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, he was a son of the late Julius and Stefania Koziarz Jawgiel. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Randy Bailey. Mr. Jawgiel was employed as a field service supervisor with AlfaWasserman and was a U.S. Navy veteran.He was a true Chicago sports fan, always pulling for the Bears, Cubs, White Sox and Blackhawks. He is survived by his wife, Euniv “Cookie” Jawgiel; a son, Allen Bailey and wife Hilda of Lenoir; two daughters, Sabrina Thompson and husband Pete of Springfield, OH; Samantha Wilderson of Blakeslee, PA; two sisters, JoAnna Jones of Shorewood, Ill; Anita Sommerfeld and husband Howard of Oak Forest, Ill; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mr. Jawgiel’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2015 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
