Derick Alexander Livingston

Newton- Derick Alexander Livingston, age 72, passed away on April 30, 2018 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Sherrill’s Ford. Derick was born in Scotland on June 13, 1945 to Doris Livingston and the late Norman Livingston. He was married to Linda Duffey Livingston of the home for more than 25 years. Derick retired from General Electric after working as a welder for approximately 18 years. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He enjoyed many different hobbies, but he especially enjoyed life. Other than his mother and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tracie Dagenhart of Conover; grandchildren, Regan and Colby Dagenhart; daughter Erica Syakti of Indonesia and her four children. A celebration of Derick’s life will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at New Life Fellowship Church, 1941 Robinson Road, Hickory, NC 28602. at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jimmy Duffey officiating.
