Dewey Lee Kelley

Dewey Lee Kelley, 77, of Lenoir, NC and formerly of Murphy, passed away at home on Monday, February 19, 2018.A veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam era, and he was also a member of Cherokee 0146 Ancient Free & Accepted Mason.He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Maudie Mashburn Kelley, and infant brother R.M. Kelley. He is survived by son Bradley Kelley (Carol), daughter Missy Kelley Kephart (Merle); step children Amy Kelley Willingham (Michael) and Arron Kelley; two brothers Fred (Crystal) and Lawrence (Mary Ellen) Kelley all of Murphy, and sister Marjorie Kelley Wells of Hickory.Survivors also include numerous grandchildren and families, great-grands, nieces and nephews, and “adopted” granddaughters Rhonda Smith, Brooklyn N. Toon, Alexis and Zoe Adkins of Lenoir, N C.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24 at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir NC.In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the charity of one’s choice.
