Don M. Church

Hudson – Don Mack Church, 84, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Charles George VA Medical Center Hospice in Asheville. He was born in Caldwell County on April 23, 1933 to the late Mack Church and Nancy Tomlinson Church. He was married to Bonnie Hicks Church of the home for 64 years. Mr. Church was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant son, Thomas Wayne Church and numerous brothers and sisters. Other than his wife, Mr. Church is survived by his daughter, Donna Landis and husband, Stanley; sons, Terry Church and Mike Church; grandchildren, Jamey Clark; T.J. Church; Sean Church; Christina Setzer; Kristopher Church; and great-grandchildren, Abby Clark; Joshua Church; Korbyn Setzer; Gaige Setzer; Emerie Setzer; Daisy Earp; and Grayson Michael Church is due soon. A celebration of Mr. Church’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army and Caldwell County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
