Donna Gail Cox

Mrs. Donna Gail Watson Cox, age 61, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Born January 28, 1956 in Caldwell County, Donna was a daughter of the late Donald and Dorris Lucille Williams Watson.She was a member of Walking By Faith Baptist Church where she loved to sing.She had a degree in upholstery and leather repair and was passionate about her job.The thing she enjoyed most was spending time with family.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Arney. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, John Michael Cox Sr.of Lenoir; three sons, John Michael Cox Jr. (Wife Brittany Simes), Pete Cox (wife April) and Cody Cox (wife Macy); four sisters, Sharon Watson, Sheila Howell, Lisa Watson and Angela Watson; two brothers, Dale Watson and Greg Watson; seven grandchildren, Tristian Carlton, Caleb Cox, Marybeth Simes, Dana Simes, Derrick Simes, Payton Cox and Parker Cox; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Marvin Ford, Pastor Jobie Borders and Mike Wilson officiating.Interment will follow the service at the Walking By Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Wright, Logan Greene, Kevin Caldwell, Tyler Deviney, Tommy Price and Keith Alan Berry, Jr. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Evans Funeral Service from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
