Donna Marie Triplett, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Watauga County, NC, on March 1, 1954, she was the cherished daughter of the late Claude and Pauline Triplett.
Donna was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found joy in the simplicity of life. She had a passion for the outdoors and spent countless hours enjoying the peace of her front porch, especially in the comfort of her Mother’s Day rocking chair. Her faith was her cornerstone, and she was often seen reading her Bible in that very chair, finding solace in its pages. Now, she rests in the arms of her Lord, free and at peace.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Claude and Pauline Triplett, and her siblings, Marty Triplett, Richard Triplett, Grace Abernathy, and Janice Calloway. Their memories she carried close to her heart.
She leaves behind a family that will continue to honor her legacy: her son, Ronnie Eldreth, and his wife, Sabrina; her daughter, Tina Eldreth; her sisters, Lennis Auton and Tammy Sipes; her grandchildren, Tristen Johnson, Zachary Burns, Lillian Eldreth, Dustin Eldreth, Dalton Phillips and his wife, Logan; her great-grandson, Ryker Layne Upton; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.
In her professional life, Donna served as a dedicated Detention Officer, a role through which she impacted many lives with her kindness and strength.
To celebrate Donna’s life, a memorial service will be held at Celia Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Bradley Crump. Family and friends are invited to gather in tribute to a life well lived and a woman deeply loved.
Donna Marie Triplett will be profoundly missed but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
