Dorothy Greene

Lenoir – Mrs. Dorothy Hoyle Greene, age 73, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. She was born in Caldwell County on December 17, 1943 to the late Robert L. Hoyle, Jr. and Elizabeth Campbell Hoyle. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Frank Greene, Jr. Mrs. Greene was a member of Oakwood Presbyterian Church and retired from the former Paxar. She was a loving wife and mother and she loved animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hoyle, III and her sister, Janice Ledford. Other than her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa Greene, her son, James Greene; numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law; and her cat, Booboo. A celebration of Mrs. Greene’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Phillip Adams officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 prior to the service.
