Dwayne Stephens

Benjamin Dwayne Stephens finished his battle with ALS on July 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Depree Stephens and Hazel Imogene Stephens.

Dwayne was an avid sports fan, especially for his Tarheels and Carolina Panthers. Also, he really enjoyed golfing, cooking and creating new recipes.

He is survived by his son, Evan Depree Stephens, who was his absolute pride and joy. Dwayne is also survived by his siblings, Rebecca Farr (Gary); Rhonda Totherow; Lindsey Cole (Joe); and several nieces and nephews.

A special recognition is owed to his sister, Rebecca Farr, for her countless hours and sacrifices she made to make sure he was cared for during his illness.

The family will have no services at this time. A private celebration of Dwayne’s life will be held at a later date.
