Edwin D. Peters

Lenoir – Edwin Dana Peters, age 69, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on August 11, 1946 to the late Dana Peters and Violet Craig Peters. Ed was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in Vietnam. He was an active philanthropist and enjoyed supporting such local organizations as the Lenoir Soup Kitchen and the Caldwell Arts Council. Ed loved classical music, the arts, paddling on the river and collecting many vintage items including motorcycles. He was particularly known for his random acts of kindness giving so much to so many. Ed is survived by his cousin, Jean Davis and husband, Richard of Coldwater, MS; nephew Kyle Free; his two cats, Lucky and Booger; and many beloved friends to countless to name. A memorial celebration of Ed’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 4:00 PM with Lynn Blackwelder officiating.
