Elizabeth Ann Beck

Ms. Elizabeth Ann Beck, age 78 of Hudson passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.

Born October 23, 1944 in Caldwell County to the late Thomas Wayne and Alice Crotts McGuire.   In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Jimmy; a sister, Lillian Lawrence.

Survivors include her daughter, Pam Brown (husband Chris); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brown (fiancé Elijah Griffin), Taylor Brown (boyfriend Ben Enloe) and Peyton Brown; a brother, Tommy McGuire; a special niece, Sheryl Brown (husband David); great nephews, Dustin Brown (wife Victoria) and Seth Brown; a great great niece, Maci Brown; she is also survived by numerous close friends and neighbors.

Ann was a Matron with the Caldwell County Jail and numerous other agencies for over 30 years.  She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart.  She was whole heartedly devoted to her family and grandchildren.

A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Mt. View Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Hoyle officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
