Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Ernestine Patterson, age 63, of Lenoir, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born September 12, 1949 in Caldwell County, Ernestine was a daughter of the late Ernest Davenport and Juristine Patterson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Green Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Glynnis Fox; two brothers, Calvin Propst and Martin Propst; and one granddaughter, Haley Patterson. Survivors include two daughters, Angela Michelle Patterson and Marissa Karen Mitchell, husband Joseph, both of Lenoir; four sons, Timothy Dewayne Patterson of Baltimore, MD, Ralph “Toby” Patterson of Newton, NC, Patrick Jerome Patterson, wife Amy, of Lenoir, and Greg Patterson, wife Ginger, of Lenoir; her companion of 33 years , Charles Steve Dula of Lenoir; two sisters, Gaynell Dabner, husband Bruce, of Cincinnati, OH, and Evelyn Patterson of Kentucky; two brothers, Larry Joe Patterson of Boone, and Tracy Delmar Ray of Hickory; Ernestine is survived by 19 grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Ernestine’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Interment will follow the service at the Dulatown Cemetery.
