Esta Fusco

Mrs. Esta Mae Hartley Fusco, age 87, of Lenoir, NC passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson. Born April 2, 1930 in Caldwell County, Esta was a daughter of the late Raymond and Lela Pitts Hartley. She was a member of the South Lenoir Church of God. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, fishing, cooking and was also the owner and operator of Lower Creek Fish House and Mil-Mar Fish House. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Fusco; and two sisters, Elizabeth “Libby” Hurte and Kathleen Pritchard. Survivors include her son, Steve Hollar; two daughters, Debra Webster (husband Sam) and Judy Nester (husband Gerald); six grandsons, Michael Lankford, Woody Lankford, Mark Absher, Andrew Absher, Steven Hollar and Ben Hollar; she is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Esta’s life will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Ken Hensley officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
