Evelyn Sue Flowers Curtis, 83, of Granite Falls, went home to Jesus on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 from Shaire Center in Lenoir, NC. Evelyn was born on January 25, 1935 to the late Reid Flowers and Eva Woodruff Flowers and was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Kate Flowers and Pearl Childers and one granddaughter, Sunshine Joy Curtis.Evelyn loved to be a blessing to others, and she always had her home open to any missionary or evangelist in need of a place to stay.Evelyn was a charter member of New Beginning Baptist Church, and she was also on the steering committee of the Caldwell Pregnancy Care Center.She was retired from Bernhardt Furniture Industries Main Office. Evelyn is survived by two sons:Danny Curtis and wife Esther of Pine Bluff, AR, and Jeff Curtis and wife Susan of Lenoir; five grandchildren, Heather Curtis of Charlotte, Ashley Fairbrother (husband Richard) of Asheville, Brandon Curtis of St. Paul, MN, Aaron Curtis (wife Amanda) of Hudson, and Sara Curtis of Lenoir, and seven great-grandchildren as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held on February 20, 2018 at New Beginning Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Reverend Daniel Buchanan and ReverendRufus Edmisten officiating.The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.Memorials may be made to Caldwell Pregnancy Care Center, P.O.
