Faye Virginia Harrison

Faye Virginia Barnes Harrison, age 82, passed away in her home on Sunday, July 20, 2025. She was born in Caldwell County on March 2, 1943 to the late Henry and Addie Barnes. She was the loving wife of the late Danny Jo Harrison for 57 years before his passing. Faye was a member of the North Catawba Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and librarian. She came from a family of fifteen and devoted her entire life to all of them.

Faye is survived by her two daughters, Dana Jo Lankford (husband Keith), Donna Jo Hart (husband Marty); her sisters Gracie Holmes (husband John), Rita Roberts (husband David); her brothers Frank Barnes, Paul Barnes (wife Linda), Larry Barnes, Arnold Barnes (wife Jackie), and Stanley Barnes (wife Leona); her grandchildren, Casie Campbell, Levi Lankford, Faith Bustamante (husband Michael), and Rachel Hart. She is also survived by numerous brother in-laws, sister in-laws and other relatives whom she dearly loved.

A celebration of Faye’s life will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend David Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
