Forrest "Jack" Crump

Forrest “Jack” Crump exchanged this life for eternity on April 13, 2024, following a stroke. He was the son of the late Reverend Gordon and Lucille Crump, born December 17, 1931. He lived a productive life for 92 years, working in the lumber business mostly with logging and later retiring from Broyhill Main Office.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; a daughter, Lynn; a grandson, Bo McCall; great granddaughter, Kenley Bumgarner; sister, Juanita Heaps; brother, Kenneth Crump; and son in law, Jerry McCall.

Survivors include daughters, Gail McCall, Cynthia (Steve) Melton, Lisa (Gary) Greer, and Joi (Marty) Rose. He had ten grandchildren; Chad, Misty, Wendy, Ryan, Dustin, Kevin, Darrin, Jessica, Dylan, and Karey; nineteen great grandchildren, Austin, Sierra, Sydney, Aubree, Daniel, Oliver, Ziva, Ella, Ava, Anna, Russell, Hunter, Samuel, Alisha, Ivie, Bethany, Kyla, Leila, and Iris; three great-great grandchildren, Serenity, Archer, and Aiden. Also surviving is a sister, Modean (Clifford) Stilwell, and a special friend, Sarah Reese.

Funeral Service will be 4 o’clock, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at West Lenoir Baptist Church, where Jack faithfully attended each Sunday morning. Reverend Rick Safriet will conduct the service with grandsons serving as honorary pallbearers. A private burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
