Freeda Irene Edwards

Mrs. Freeda Irene Carver Edwards, age 82, of Lenoir went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Born June 22, 1939 in Macon County, Freeda was a daughter of the late Oscar and Beula Cabe Carver.Freeda attended Heavenly Hope Baptist Church in Lenoir.She had a love for animals.She was known to take care of any animal that came to her home.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Edwards and numerous siblings. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Billy Michael Edwards (wife Carolyn); a granddaughter, Katie Edwards; a brother, James Carver; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. A graveside celebration of Freeda’s life will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with Pastor Benny Greene officiating. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Pet Partners Rescue of Caldwell County at P.O.
